Pharma Data Analysis

Over the past two years in the pharmaceutical industry, I’ve gained firsthand experience in how different departments must align to ensure efficiency, compliance, and ultimately, patient care.

Inspired by this, I recently completed a data analysis project on a fictional pharmaceutical company called Quantum Meds — applying real-world logic and challenges to a simulated dataset.

This project focused on five key business functions:
Sales – analyzing performance trends and product demand across distributors.
Inventory – identifying stock levels, movement rates, and potential shortages.
Procurement – evaluating supplier reliability and purchase order patterns.
Logistics – measuring delivery timelines and distribution efficiency.
Finance – tracking revenue, expenses, and profit margins over time.

To visualize the insights, I designed interactive Power BI dashboards that allow users to explore key KPIs across these five departments.

My goal was to simulate how data-driven decision-making can empower pharmaceutical companies to optimize operations and improve business outcomes — a principle I deeply value from my time in the industry.

This project is a significant milestone in my data journey, combining my domain knowledge with growing technical skills in Power BI, data storytelling, and cross-functional analysis. By leveraging the power of data visualization, I helped each department gain actionable insights to streamline decision-making and improve operational efficiency.

The dashboards I developed provide real-time tracking of inventory levels, procurement activities, logistics performance, financial metrics, and sales trends. They offer interactive features that allow users to explore data, filter results, and generate detailed reports, all aimed at optimizing performance across the organization.
